70/30 copper nickel and 90/10 copper-nickel alloys have applications in the handling of hot brine, they are frequently employed in condenser and heat exchangers for tubes, tube plates, and baffles where resistance is required to seawater corrosion, erosion, impingement, and biological fouling.70/30 copper nickel and 90/10 copper-nickel alloys are available in most product forms, including plate, drawn tube, pipe, and fittings.
Copper Nickel (also known as Cupro Nickel/Kunifer) is an alloy widely used in Marine, Naval, and Oil & Gas applications. These alloys have excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, low biofouling, and good weldability. The material in copper-nickel is ductile through its improved strength and corrosion resistance.
CuNi 90/10 is mainly used in seawater systems for Naval, Commercial Marine, and Oil & Gas applications.
CuNi 70/30 has a higher strength due to the increased nickel content and is able to resist corrosion at high velocities in Naval applications.

C70600 (C706) & C71500 (C715), Copper-nickel offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine saltwater environments. The main, wrought copper-nickel alloys chosen for seawater service contain 10 or 30 percent nickel. They also have important additions of iron and manganese which are necessary to maintain good corrosion resistance. Some of the primary uses for C706 include copper nickel fittings (CuNi Fittings) as well as condensers and exchanger shells.
