It is different from the traditional distillation equipment which depends on the principle of boiling point difference, but depends on the difference of the average free path of the different substances movement to achieve the separation. There are four main types of molecular distillation: falling film, scraping film, centrifugal and scraping plate type. Among them, the scraping plate distillation system is more popular than other types.
