A fish tape is a tool used by electricians to route new wiring through walls and electrical conduit,mainly used for pulling
through various types of wiring in the wall, such as phone wire, network cables or speaker wire.The fish tape can be made from many different materials including steel, fiberglass, and nylon. High-strength fiberglass rods have very high tensile strength while maintaining flexible bending properties.
Fiberglass fish tape
It is mainly extruded from glass fiber and high-strength resin into a FRP rod by high temperature. The outer surface of the FRP rod is made of high-density polyethylene engineering plastics, which makes the surface smooth, enhances wear resistance, aging resistance and acid and alkali resistance.
Steel fish tape
The steel fish tape makes it easy to thread cables and wires through drywall, conduit or insulation. Simply guide the fish tape
through the narrow opening, attach wires to the pulling loop and guide the wires to the new location smoothly and efficiently. The
reel winds up and stores excess fish tape as the wire is pulled, and a built-in thumb lock holds the wire in place.
