Product Description
USBasp is a USB in-circuit programmer for Atmel AVR controllers. The USBASP AVR ISP Programmer supports reading or writing microcontroller EEPROM, firmware, fuse bits and lock bits. USBasp consists of just an ATMega88 or an ATMega8 and a few passive components. The programmer uses a pure firmware USB driver and requires no special USB controller. USBasp is a low-cost programmer for AVR microcontrollers. It uses a pure software implementation of the USB communication protocol and can be easily used with laptops.

Self-programming (firmware update) jumper (JP2)
Clock speed control jumper (JP3)
USB Type A connector for plugging directly into a PC USB port
10-pin IDC shrouded male header onboard
Power and programmer status LEDs
Supported operating systems: Windows 8, Windows 7, can work on multiple platforms. Tested on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.
Programming speeds up to 5kBytes/sec.
