Its peak scintillation wavelength is 480nm (emission range is 380-660nm), when subjected to γ When irradiated with X-rays, the efficiency is 13000 photons/MeV. CdWO4 crystal has the advantages of high luminescence efficiency, short afterglow time, large X-ray absorption coefficient, strong radiation damage resistance, and high material density, and is widely used in nuclear detection γ In fields such as cameras, X-CT, high-energy physics, and container detection, its combined application with B4C can form compact gamma ray and neutron radiation detectors.
