Product Description

The Horizontal Ploughshare Mixer is a single-shaft forced mixing device equipped with multiple sets of ploughshare agitators. These agitators are staggered and continuously installed to avoid mixing dead spots. During operation, the staggered ploughs create continuous vortex centrifugal forces, leading to overlapping and scattering of the material flows, resulting in a boiling and convective circulation that rapidly mixes the materials.
For cohesive materials like fibers, damp clumps, or liquid-aggregated powders, the mixer includes high-speed choppers installed at a 45-degree downward angle on the mixer drum's side. The chopper blades extend into the drum, where materials driven by the ploughshares enter the effective range of the choppers, getting sheared at high speed for efficient de-agglomeration and separation.
The Horizontal Ploughshare Mixer is capable of handling the mixing of solid powders and granules, and is suitable for batch mixing processes that involve the addition of liquids. It is widely used in the food, chemical, and construction materials industries, and is particularly notable in applications such as food additives, pre-mixed mortar, composting technology, sludge treatment, rubber and plastics, and specialty construction materials. The powerful cutting action enables it to achieve high-performance mixing quality.
