Heat Soaked Glass
Heat Soaked Glass is a quality control process in which tempered glass panels are heated in an oven under controlled cycles, reaching temperatures up to 290°C to accelerate nickel sulfide expansion. This helps identify and eliminate panels with unstable inclusions, as glass containing nickel sulfide is more likely to break during treatment—reducing the risk of post-installation failure.
While heat soaked glass significantly lowers the chances of spontaneous breakage, it does not provide an absolute guarantee. This service serves as an additional precaution to minimize potential glass failure over time.
Key Benefits:
① Proactive Failure Detection: Glass with unstable nickel sulfide inclusions is more likely to fracture during the heat soaking process, allowing defective panels to be identified and removed before installation.
②Reduced Post-Installation Risk: By eliminating high-risk panels, heat soaking significantly decreases the probability of in-service breakage.
