Product Description
Carbon fiber boom poles are made of carbon fiber prepreg maerial in 3m and 5m extended length .
We fixed 3/8" & 1/4" machanical stainless steel thread at the top end of the boom pole .
3M carbon fiber microphone boom pole is designed with 4 sections , with handle section diameter 28mm which is suitable to operate .
Extended length 3M , closed portable length is 930mm , thickness 1mm , weight is only around 590g . Tip section diaemter 19mm .
5M carbon fiber microphone boom pole is designed with 5 sections , with handle section diameter 36mm which is suitable to operate .
Extended length 5M , closed portable length is 1250mm , thickness 1.2mm , weight is only around 1240g . Tip section diaemter 22.5mm .
We use twist locks between each sections , it works perfect to connect and easy to operate . In the bottom end of handle section , we glued on black oxidation aluminum caps to protect the carbon fiber end . We will glue on foam handle on the boom pole handle section which offers a better feedling of hold and also it is anti-slip .
Generally speaking , carbon fiber has very high modulus and axial strength , good fatigue resistance , heat resistance , corrosion resistance and low density , so they are widely used for photography or video products in the recent years . The most advantage is it's high strength and light weight .
Everybody knows that at the same time recording site , the recording engineer has to deal with various changes at any time . In some specific recording scenes , for example , the recording engineer's position is far away from the actors and have to keep with some long shots . The recording engineer's arm in these scenes may need to lift for a long time . These are also shock mounts , microphones , windscreens , windbreakers and wires at the top of boom pole , which add up a lot of weight on ! So , working in this state for a long time will consume a lot of physical strength , then light weight carbon fiber microphone boom pole will be the best choice !
