A membrane filter press is a very effective tool intended to separate solids and liquids (dewatering) using pressure driven by feed pumps. After the cake is formed, the membrane plate will be injected with compressed air or high-pressure water, thus the membrane filter plate will be swelled to squeeze the filter cakes again, thus additionally decreasing the cake moisture.
