Copper has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and processing properties, and can be welded and brazed. Contains less conductive, thermal conductivity impurities, trace oxygen on the conductivity, thermal conductivity, and processing performance is not significant, but easy to cause "hydrogen disease", not suitable for high temperature (such as > 370℃) in the reducing atmosphere processing (annealing, welding, etc.) and use. Every year, 50% of copper is purified by electrolysis to pure copper, which is used in the electrical industry.
