Crucible furnace has strong fuel adaptability, can burn coal, coke, gas and so on, there is a large fuel choice space. When oil or gas is used as fuel, there is a nozzle under the crucible for the injection of fuel and air for combustion and heating, the oil crucible or gas furnace. When electric heating, resistance heating element (resistance wire or silicon carbide rod) is arranged around the crucible, namely resistance crucible furnace.
Crucible furnaces with fuel generally heat up rapidly, but their temperature control can not be very strict. Resistance crucible furnace heating speed is slow. Electric heating wire heating time up to 900, silicon carbide rod heating temperature up to 1200, lower than the fuel furnace. At the same time, its equipment cost is expensive, power consumption, smelting cost is high. But its production environment and working conditions are good, melting temperature can be precisely controlled. Suitable for aluminum and magnesium alloy smelting.
