Some cooling towers would be full of the fill media, some would have half and half of the fill media, and some large cooling towers would be installed 1 layer of the fill media in the bottom.The function of cooling tower filling is to increase the contact area between hot water and air and to extend the time of water flow, thus to help reduce the water temperature quickly.
