Production line
At present the material in the market which can make activated carbon mainly as below: coconut shells, paddy husk, apricot shells, walnut shells, hawthorn shells, peach shells, Macadamia nut shells, palm shells, charcoal etc. The production mainly depends on local advantage. This production line adopt PLC control system, the furnace consisted of hopper, elevators, material feeder, furnace body, fireproofing material, turning device, temperature detector, activate device, PLC control cabinet, cooling device, subside structure, boiler, blowing fan, de-dusting device etc.
First carbonize all kinds of material, then sieve out the powder below 2mm, moisture should below 15%. Conveyor the material to the top hopper of furnace by elevator, and the feeding hopper feed material to the body of furnace average, the temperature inside the furnace should above 800ºC. At this time through blowing fan to conveyor certain quantity oxygen, and then open the steam and feed certain quantity of steam to activate the material, the steam should penetrate the material, and for for 1 ton final activated carbon it will need 2 tons steam. The steam can't be diffuse steam, or it will influence the quality and quantity of the activated carbon. With the turning of the furnace, the temperature of material begin to increase and after temperature reach 800ºC, after contacting the water steam and temperature of material will reach 900-1050ºC, the time material contacted with water steam is called ' Activated time' , according to the difference of temperature and oxygen, the activate time is also different, usually need 25 to 40 minutes, it means the the material will go forward as a speed of 6m/hour inside the furnace body. When the material come into stage of reducing temperature , it will be about 500-600ºC,when material come out of the outlet pipe, the temperature will be reduced to about 200ºC,then material will come into a water cooling device and get a 3 minutes non-oxygen cooling stage, at this time the temperature of material already is normal temperature like 30-40ºC,it can be packed into bags ( Bags can be 500kg ), and then use forklift to move it to storage area.
The rear part of the furnace equips with setting chamber, the setting chamber has four functions: 1) Preheat the boiler, 2) subside the dust ( ash), 3) after boiler stop working it can still offer steam 4) burn the smoke and gas which is not clean, reduce black crag and make full use of the heat from smoke. After the setting chamber it equips with steam exhaust heating boiler, it adopt the high temperature exhaust air ( about 800ºC) to produce steam, and use this steam to activate the material. After the boiler it equips with blowing fan, to absorb the high temperature waste gas to the boiler, the waste gas come into pulse dust remover and then exhaust by meeting exhaust standard, the output of material and quantity reference is as below:

Above equipment all adopt PLC control system, it changes traditional operation method, greatly reducing the labor intensity, quality controllable and safe, also reduce a lot of labor cost and maintenance cost, the equipment can work several months without stopping, every year maintenance cost below USD3000.
