Hatching method:
1. Prepare hatching solution from non-iodized salt or diluted seawater to 15-35ppt(parts per thousand)
2. Incubate and aerate cysts in a conical shaped container with cyst to solution density not exceeding 2 grams per liter.
3. Provide hatching tank with natural or artificial light and maintain constant temperature of 27℃-30℃(Bohai Bay BBS Eggs need higher temperature: 30℃to 33℃).
4. Stop aeration and remove fresh nauplii after 24-36 hours.
Note: if cysts are frozen or held in cold storage while in inventory, allow cysts to acclimate at room temperature for 12-24 hours before attempting to hatch.
Storage:
The longer you hold Artemia on the shelf, the greater the chance the hatch may diminish. We recommend that our artemia cyst be kept in a cool, dry place(below 0℃) during transport and receiving. Refrigeration is also not necessary but if the only other alternative mode of storage is at room temperature or if you are in hot and humid conditions, then refergeration or a well air-conditioned room is highly recommended.
