Product Description
China Glass Holding Co.,Ltd tempered glass is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air. It results the outer skins under powerful compressive stress and the interior with severe tensile stress. In consequence, the impact applied to the glass will be overcome by the compressional stress on the surfaces to assure safety of use.

Product Advantage

If the glass does break, there is far less risk of injury from broken pieces.
-More opportunity for large areas of glazing without substituting your safety, including framless designs such as doors, showers, screens table tops and so on.

-High strength: the same thickness of tempered glass, its strength, deflection bearing capacity is about 4~5 times that of ordinary glass.
-Thermal stability: tempered glass is 3~5 times better than ordinary glass, generally can withstand the temperature difference of more than 250 degrees, to prevent thermal cracking has obvious effect (such as 5mm reinforced glass, about 200 degrees Celsius temperature change resistance).
-Safety: when the glass is destroyed by external force, into small obtuse particles, will not cause significant harm to the human body.

Installation Guidlines
-Toughened glass cannot be drilled or any other processed and edgeworked in any manner.
-Toughened glass ordered to templates must be accompanied with a full scale template made to the correct dimensions.
-Minimum edgework finish on toughened glass up to 12mm is a standard arrissed edge. Minimum edgework on greater thicknesses should be a flat ground edge;
-Slight distortion or bowing may occur after toughening but is largely controllable. It will vary with substance, tint, surface treatment, size and shape of the glass. Ceramic painted, sandblasted or reflective coated glass has a greater tendency to bow and special tolerances would be advised. Flatness will be measured when the glass is standing on edge with a straight edge placed along the full length of the panel and a wedge measurement taken at the centre position.
