Property:
Potassium sulphate is a kind of inorganic salt, white crystalline powder. The appearance of agricultural potassium sulphate is mostly light yellow, potassium sulphate's hygroscopicity is small, it is not easy to caking, good physical properties, easy to apply, it is a very good water-soluble potash fertiliser, and it is also the main raw material for making non-chlorine nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertiliser.
The Advantages of Potassium Sulphate:
Industrial potassium sulphate is a chemical widely used in various fields. It is a colourless, tasteless and odourless crystal, easily soluble in water but not easily soluble in ethanol and ether.
It is the basic raw material for the manufacture of various potassium salts such as potassium carbonate and potassium persulfate. It is used as precipitant in glass industry. Used as intermediate in dyestuff industry. It is used as auxiliary agent in spice industry. It is also used as laxative and treatment of soluble barium salt poisoning in the pharmaceutical industry. Potassium sulphate is commonly used as potash fertiliser in agriculture, with a potassium oxide content of 50%, and is commonly known as ‘White Gary’ in Taiwan.
In addition to the above applications, potassium sulphate can also be used in metal processing, petrochemical and other industries. However, it should be noted that Potassium Sulphate is a strong acidic substance with corrosive properties, so it needs to be used with safety in mind.
Potassium sulphate is a colourless crystal, with low hygroscopicity, not easy to be caked, good physical properties, easy to apply, and is a very good water-soluble potash fertiliser. Potassium sulphate is also chemically neutral and physiologically acidic fertiliser. Potassium sulphate is a kind of non-chlorine, high-quality and high-efficiency potash fertiliser, especially in the cultivation of chlorine-sensitive crops such as tobacco, grapes, sugar beet, tea tree, potatoes, flax and all kinds of fruit trees, etc. It is an indispensable and important fertiliser; it is also the main raw material of high-quality nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertiliser.
Potassium sulphate compound fertiliser is produced by low-temperature conversion of potassium chloride, chemical synthesis and slurry granulation process, which is stable and contains three major nutrients of N, P and K essential for plants as well as middle and trace elements such as S, Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe and Cu. This kind of fertiliser is suitable for all kinds of cash crops, especially for chlorine-sensitive crops. The main components of potassium sulphate compound fertiliser are MAP (monoammonium phosphate) and DAP (diammonium phosphate), ammonium sulphate (mainly obtained by neutralising sulphuric acid and gas ammonia in low temperature conversion). Potassium sulphate, urea and other small impurities such as calcium sulphate, iron, aluminium, magnesium and other salts of phosphoric acid, as well as trace amounts of potassium chloride that have not been fully reacted.

The main uses of potassium sulphate include the following.
1. Fertiliser production: Potassium sulphate is an important raw material for potash fertiliser, which can be used to produce various kinds of fertilisers, such as potassium chloride and ammonium sulphate.
2.Glass manufacturing:Potassium sulphate is a commonly used raw material for glass, it can improve the hardness and impact resistance of glass.
3. Leather processing:Potassium sulphate can be used in the processing of leather products, it can help to remove the hair and keratin in the leather.
4. Textile industry: Potassium sulphate can be used in textile dyeing and printing, it can enhance the stability and colour fastness of dyes.
5. Pharmaceutical manufacturing: Potassium sulphate can be used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, such as in the manufacture of stomach medicine.
