Alginate calcium dressing should be 2cm bigger than thwound area to make sure that dressing could be adherent to the skin completely4. The dressing should not be on the wound for more than one week.5. When the exudates on the wound become less, it is suggested to stop using the dressing and change to another kind of dressing, such as hydrocolloid dressing.6.
