Instrument introduction
This instrument is mainly suitable for detecting non-volatile petroleum products that are partially decomposed during atmospheric distillation. When using the instrument, put an appropriate amount of sample into a special glass coking bottle with a capillary, and place it in a metal furnace maintained at a certain temperature, and quickly heat the sample until all volatile substances are removed from the bottle. The temperature at which the mouth escapes, while the heavier residue remains in the bottle for cracking and coking reactions. During the later stages of the heating cycle, the coke or carbon residues are further slowly decomposed or slightly oxidized due to possible air being drawn into the bottle. After the prescribed heating cycle, the coking bottle was removed from the furnace, placed in a desiccator to cool and weighed. Product parameter
