27SiMn is an alloy structural steel, whose chemical composition mainly includes carbon (C) of 0.22% -0.29%, silicon (Si) of 1.0% -1.5%, and manganese (Mn) of 0.6% -0.9%.
This material has high strength and wear resistance, high hardenability, moderate cold deformation plasticity, good cutting performance, and acceptable welding performance. During heat treatment, the toughness of 27SiMn steel decreases less, and it can still maintain high toughness during water cooling, but it has overheating sensitivity, white spot sensitivity, and a tendency towards temper brittleness.
The application of 27SiMn steel is very extensive, mainly used for manufacturing hot stamping parts that require high toughness and wear resistance. Due to its excellent mechanical and processing properties, 27SiMn steel plate is widely used in fields such as mechanical manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding, automotive, petroleum, and chemical engineering.
