Wimshurst Static Electricity Generator
Product Introduction
The wimshurst static electricity generator is used to obtain a large amount of charge and high voltage (about tens of thousands of volts) in electrostatic experiments, and cooperate with other instruments to carry out experiments on charge distribution on the surface of conductors, power lines of electrostatic field, tip discharge and discharge of vacuum tubes. It can also do a series of experiments, such as electrostatic induction, spark discharge, tip discharge, and the change of capacitance of capacitors (referring to the Leiden bottle on the motor), etc.

There is no beam and cantilever structure between the two electric combs of the generator. 2. The base is made of plastic with excellent insulating properties or other equivalent materials.
3. The radial runout of the electrification disc shall not exceed 1.5mm.
4. The unevenness of the two disks should be such that the distance between any point on the inner side of the two disks during the rotation of the generator disk is not less than 2.5mm, and the maximum is not more than 5.5mm.
5. The lateral movement of the central axis of the electrification plate is not more than 1mm. The lateral movement of the hand crank shaft is not more than 2mm.
6. The rotation of the starting plate should be smooth and flexible, and the instrument should not vibrate under the condition that the rotation speed of the hand crank is not more than 120 rpm.
7. The brushes are in good contact with the foil on the starter plate.
8. Electric combs are made of needle-like metal rods or camouflage-like bare copper wires.
9. The aluminum sheet on the starter panel is firmly inserted with plastic rivets.
The coating height of Leyden bottle electrode plate shall not be less than 120mm, and the coating shall be firm without scratch or local falling off.
Electrification principle
The starter motor is an instrument that uses induction to energize. When two starter discs rotate rapidly, the charged system, especially the ball of the discharge fork equipped with an insulating handle, accumulates a large number of charges of different electrical properties respectively.
Product feature and application
The conductive layer in the conductive plate of this machine adopts high-quality aluminum foil, which has good conductivity and long service life, and can improve the electrification performance. It can be energized in wet weather and rainy days.
Maintenance and precautions
1. The starter plate should be placed in a dry and clean place.
2. Lubricating oil should be added to the rotating shaft of the starter plate frequently to ensure flexible rotation and reduce wear. After use, still cover the plastic bag to prevent dust from entering the instrument.
3. The conductive plate and the conductive layer in the Leiden bottle must not be bumped, scratched, wet or damp.
4. The machine must not be baked with an open flame.
5. The generator can not be powered, and the fault can be eliminated according to the relevant items in the troubleshooting.
