These lathes are suitable for kinds of turning, such as internal and external cylindrical surface turning, cutting of various metric, Whitworth, module diametrical pitch threads as well as taper turning, facing, drilling broaching for oil grooves and keyways, etc. The workpiece produced on the machine can achieve the working accuracy of grade IT6-7 and surface roughness Ra 1.6um.
Gap-bed lathes are especially suitable for flat and odd workpieces.
Owing to increasing the bore of the spindle the lathes are more convenient to machining shaft parts and suitable for kinds of mechanical working shops.
