The main features of 6 high mill unit
The 6 high mill is a three -layer roll system (that is, two backup rolls, two intermediate rolls, and two work rolls). The system is driven by work rolls.
The 6 high mill unit is the most cold rolling mill for common carbon steel. 6 high mill can roll thinner gauge than 4 Hi cold rolling mill does for having smaller work rolls. The 6 high mill unit is also often used for rolling of the 200 Series and 300 Series stainless steels.
The roller system of 6 high mill is stable, the speed can reach 1500m/min, and the rolling capacity is large.
There are many adjusting methods of 6 high mill. The 6 high mill has AGC pressure control, press down adjusting, work roll's positive and negative bending, intermediate roll bending, intermediate roll twitching and other adjustment methods.
